IMF 체제하에서의 한국 여가문화 특성에 관한 분석

This study was to analyze the relationship between Korean leisure culture and current economic situation called IMF supervisory system in Korea. According to this study. three dimensions of socio-cultural changes were interacted to Korean leisure culture with serious economic problems compared to past two or three years`. Three main dimensions were class and leisure, family and leisure, and social consciousness and leisure. These factors have been manifested to define the character of Korean leisure culture especially since the situation of IMP influenced in Korea. Main analyzing contents are follows as :<BR> First. the economic problem in IMF period has brought the phenomenon of dividing class between upper and middle-lower classes, and influenced to involved leisure culture to classes that upper class participates leisure in the luxury pursuit and middle-lower class reduces the leisure size. That makes clear difference between each classes in participating leisure.<BR> Second, IMP situation has occurred to break down the style of leisure with family such as outdoor recreational activity. Decentring family clearly was shown in Korean household under the effect of IMF. Individualization and the emergence of `coccon group` in leisure participation were caused by decentring phenomenon of family, influenced by economic problem which are the loss of job and decreased salary.<BR> Last. IMF situation has formed different social consciousness such as rational consuming, reactionary tendency and static-oriented activity. Those phenomena directly influenced to involve leisure participation for mass Korean.<BR> Above three characters of Korean leisure culture plays a great role to understand the relationship between Korean leisure and economic situation occurred by IMF. It would suggest how culture and society influence Korean modern leisure.
