현대 한국 여가학의 발전 방향

This study was to interpretive the visions of leisure studies in modern Korean society. The background of this issue was related to the growing phenomenon in Korean leisure. Leisure Studies in Korean society was influenced by the factors like the structural changes in Korean society such as political movement, expanding leisure industry and changing leisure consciousness, the integration movement of academic society related to Leisure Studies and Recreation, and the emergence of new jobs in leisure industry. According to this situation, this study suggested three prosperous ways of modern Korean Leisure Studies. It was as follows;<BR> Firstly, as the epistemological perspective Leisure Studies must form the structure of body of knowledge. In both basic and applied theories, Leisure studies has to support the clear knowledge systems.<BR> Secondly, the methodology should combine various paradigms such as the interpretive, positivist, quantitative and qualitative inquiries. Combined paradigms may lead to expand the research foci as possible as the leisure researchers want which Korean leisure scholars have confronted on the confined topic problem.<BR> Lastly, as a social science Korean Leisure Studies is reformed by both an independent academic realm and an associated relationship with other social science fields.
