This study was to investigate the characteristic of leisure service in Korean society. The leisure service makes it possible to recognize the identity of leisure involvement and culture in a society. In this respect, analyzing the characteristic of leisure service plays a great role in understanding social changes and leisure culture in Korean society. Main issues were as follows:<BR> Firstly, automobile contributed to change the aspect of leisure service to mobility, personalization, and convenience.<BR> Secondly, developing internet made it possible to decrease the constraint of time and space to approach leisure information. Through this, leisure service pursuits the tendency of mobility and ubiquity.<BR> Lastly, weekly 5 days-work system has influenced leisure service to involve new leisure business and occupation. It also relates the tendency of personalization and multi-occupation in changing leisure service.<BR> In summary, The characteristic of leisure service in Korean society is manifested on the tendency of mobility, personalization, convenience, ubiquity, and multi-occupation. It may influence on the leisure involvement and culture in Korean society.
