Machining is a secondary process to produce metal part with accuracy, which is widely used in modern manufacturing industries. Thin wall, produced by machining, is easily deformed by heat that is generated while materials are being machined. This research presents an approach to minimize the deformation caused by the heat. This research formulates experimental design in vertical machining and select optimal machining parameters by analyzing the variances obtained from the experiment.
