『金鰲新話』와 『剪燈新話』의 志向과 구현화 원리

I examined the intention and principle of expressions appeared in Geumasbiabua and Chondeungshinhwa in this paper. It was written to understand a process of development of East-Asian romances in 14~15th century.<BR> I grasped synthetic characters of these two romances beyond a simple one to one comparison and understood their positions in the history of novel. The result of the study is as follows:<BR> 1. In case of Chondeungshinhwa, pains of people and sufferings of intellectuals caused by a war were expressed in 21 stories. In the case of Geumoshinhwa, the desire for an ideal politics was composed organically in 5 stories.<BR> 2. These two romances used experiences in the world of imagination. In case of Chondeungshinhwa, it was a teal situation but should not have existed. It reappeared a tragic legacy left behind by the war. In case of Geumoshinhwa, it was a ideal situation and should have existed. It was a desire for an ideal politics.<BR> 3. The aspect of description is also different in these two romances. In case of Chondeungshinhwa, problems are released outside constantly. In case of Geumoshinhwa, problems are reflected inside blocking another intervention.<BR> 4. This aspect of Geumoshinhwa occupied the peak of early novels and from that time the change of novel have been speeded up. By the way, the principle of description appeared in Chondeungshinhwa was adopted in our romances and an oppressive reality due to a war was reflected in our romances of 17th century.
