This study was intended to examine and identify factors affecting body weight, %body fat, and blood lipid components in postmenopausal obese women after 10 weeks of exercise. The subjects were divided into two groups of an aerobic exercise group(18 subjects) and a complex exercise group with(18 subjects), and then performed the exercises for 10 weeks. Both aerobic exercise group and complex exercise group performed at an intensity of maximal heart rate 60-70%, 60 minutes of exercise time, and the frequency of 3 times a week. The results of this study according to the types of exercise were as follows. 1. As a result of the 10 weeks of the aerobic exercise, %body fat(p<.05), TC(p<.01) and TG(p<.01) were significantly decreased while HDL-C was significantly increased (p<.01). 2. As a result of the 10 weeks of the complex exercise, %body fat(p<.01), TC(p<.001), TG(p<.01) and LDL-C(p<.001) were significantly decreased. In conclusion, aerobic exercise and complex exercise did showed good effect on body composition and blood lipid to postmenopausal obese women.
