The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of VO₂ and blood fatigue factors ammonia, inorgan phosphate, lactate accumulation, in downhill running The running tests were performed on a treadmill for 30 min and all subjects(n-10) of present study participated in two different kinds of experimental conditions.: one was level running(LR) and the other was downhill running(DR) at a decline angle -14 % with their favorable running speed.
1. The changes of VO₂ were higher on LR(level running) than DR(downhill running) and there were significant different in the changes of VO₂ between LR and DR conditions(p<.05).
2. The changes of lactate accumulation were higher on LR(level running) than DR(downhill running) and there were significant different in the changes of lactate accumulation between ill and DR conditions(p<.05).
3. The changes of ammonia were higher on DR(downhill running) than LR(level running) and there were significant different in the changes of ammonia between LR and DR conditions(p<.05).
4. There were no significant difference in the changes of inorgan phosphate between LR and DR conditions(p>.05).
In the downhill running, one of most effective blood fatigue factor on delayed muscle damage might be ammonia concentration and production during eccentric exercise.
