연쇄살인범에 대한 효율적 수사방안의 고찰 - 연쇄살인단계를 중심으로

Most of Korean national police investigators are not accustomed to investigate the serial killer case. The main reason was that serial killer was not popular at Korea society. But unfortunately serial killer began to appear in Korean society and adapted new techniques during his criminal behavior.<BR> Police has depended on traditional homicide investigation techniques for long times. But traditional police homicide investigation policy couldn`t count on newly appeared serial killer any more. It is possible to compare to the traditional police investigation technique as basic version of virus vaccine whereas the serial murder`s method to kill the victims is continuous transmitting virus.<BR> Last summer, most of Koreans surprised to hear and see the terrible crime scene from the mass media. There were over 21 victims during serial homicide. Serial killer invaded the housing, he crashed victims` head by hammer and kidnapped many females and killed them and buried at mountains.<BR> Ryu Yong Chul is the first serial killer who reveals terrible and hidden criminal serial homicide behavior to the open world. He enjoyed killing old persons who were rich and selected female victims who were involved prostitute business. He insisted that he committed the murder because he tried to eliminate the rich who earn the money by illegal methods and the female who make the love with male disorderly. The method of serial killer is evolving and 2nd or 3rd Ryo will appear in Korean society. KNP should prepare to future serial killer`s criminal behaviour. According to the study of serial killer case in Western countries, especially in State sides, there are unique serial killing phases. I will try to analyze the Rye`s serial homicide behavior by using the serial killing phases. And I will try to figure out effective police serial killer`s case investigation policies
