빌바오 구겐하임 미술관을 통한 현대건축물의 아이콘화 요건 분석

This study will compare characteristic of Bilbao Guggenheim Museum, a masterpiece of Frank O. Gehry and the representative iconic architecture from middle age to present day. It will also compare Bilbao Guggenheim Museum and other modern buildings disable to possessing iconic position and finally, it will analyze the common conditions of modern iconic architecture. This study will be significant to establish a standard for the factors of architectural planning for providing public with changes and meaning in overcrowded city structure.In this rapidly changing modern age, to be an iconic architecture, it is required to provide the opportunity to participate and maintain diversity rather than reflecting its era, location, identification and technology. In addition, being separated from working through programs, the building’s own shape and space should be able to function for its purpose.
