A missionary method focusing on saving souls must be one of the most fundamental characteristics in the evangelical missionary movement. Although it is also a significant emphasis of John Wesley`s works, the studies on Wesley have been focusing only on such issues as ecumenism, eastern spirituality, and social reform. As reading Wesley`s writings, we can find his missional enthusiasm to save souls of the unchurched allover the world. Therefore, the article tries to rediscover Wesley from the missiological point of view as the one who participated in God`s missional work for saving souls.<BR> In order to find Wesley`s missional practices for saving souls, the author has researched his missional activities during his missionary work in Georgia. Because of Wesley`s elitist approach toward the lower people, his missionary work was failed. After his conversion at the Aldersgate meeting, he experienced peace and joy in his soul. The agony of death did not grasp his soul any more. He tried to preach the gospel of repentance and of saving souls and a large number of England`s lower classes began to respond his messages. They could cope with the social and spiritual chaos of the industrial revolution.<BR> Wesley employed the interpersonal dynamics of an intimate small group for spiritual discipline and pastoral care for others. His usage of class meetings, bands, select society was successful for making disciples of the repentant and the believers. Within the small groups, the missional process of saving souls could be completed by the Holy Spirit. The article concludes that Wesley`s missional method focusing saving souls should be used also on the mission fields in the 21st Century.
