국가대표출신 프로골프선수의 프로전향 전후의 갈등과 기량저하

본 연구의 목적은 국가대표 선수로서 뛰어난 활약을 했던 골프선수들이 프로전향 후 적응하지 못하고, 기량이 저하되는 경우가 빈번히 발생하는 데에 대한 원인을 심도 있게 탐색하고 시행착오를 겪지 않도록 피드백을 제공하는데 있다. 연구대상으로는 국가대표 출신이면서 현재 프로골프선수로 활동하고는 있지만 두드러진 성적을 못 내고 있는 선수 4명을 주제보자로서의 연구 참여자로 선정하였고, 국가대표 출신들만이 가지고 있는 독특한 문화를 중립적으로 해석하기 위한 비국가대표출신 3명의 프로골프선수를 보조제보자로서 선정하였다. 본 연구의 자료 수집은 약 45일간 실시하였고 연구방법으로는 면접과 참여관찰을 실시하였다. 자료수집 방법에는 심층면담, 참여관찰, 연구일지 작성 등의 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 아마추어 선수가 프로전향 전에 겪는 갈등으로서 경제적 고민, 협회와의 마찰, 부모 및 코치의 강압으로 분류되었고, 프로전향 후의 기량저하현상에 대한 결과는 신체적 상황, 심리적 상황, 사회ㆍ환경적 상황으로 분류되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 추후 프로전향을 앞두고 있는 국가대표선수들과 아마추어 신분으로서 프로전향을 바라보고 있는 선수들에게 일종의 지침서 역할을 해 줄 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of the conflict and deteriorating competence of former national golf team player before and after turning to professional player through qualitative research which the method is in-depth interview and participant observation especially focused on the experiences of their both national team career and professional golf career. The method of the selection of the study participants was purposive sampling method which had been used broadly in qualitative research. The terms of the data collection using in-depth interview was 45days and had made up by data analysis(self-introduction note, regret note), participate observation(field note). The result is as follows; the conflicts before turning to professional golfer are categorized to financial agony, conflict against amateur association and pressure from the coach and parents. Deteriorating competence after turning to professional categorized to physical situation, psychological situation and socialㆍenvironmental situation. Therefore, result of this study can be useful guiding principle to those who are amateurs planning to be a professional golfer.
