COVID-19 환자를 간호하는 간호사의 피로와 역할과부담이 우울에 미치는 영향

Influence of Fatigue and Role-Overload on Depression in Nurses Caring for COVID-19 Patients

본 연구의 목적은 COVID-19 환자를 간호하는 간호사의 우울과 피로, 역할과부담의 수준을 파악하고, 피로와 역할과부담이 우울에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. COVID-19 환자 치료 지정 4개의 병원에서 COVID-19 환자를 직접 간호하는 142명의 간호사로부터 자기기입식 설문지를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 자료수집 기간은 2020년 9월 8일부터 17일까지였다. 연구대상자의 우울 수준은 14.51&#x00B1;9.54였고, 피로 수준은 3.19&#x00B1;0.64였고, 역할과부담 수준은 3.03&#x00B1;0.64였다. 우울은 피로(r=.40, p<.001), 역할과부담(r=.30, p<.001)과 양의 상관관계가 있었고, 피로는 역할과부담(r=.54, p<.001)과 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 간호사의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인은 피로(&#x03B2;=.23, p=.014)와 주관적 건강상태(보통, &#x03B2;=.28, p=.001; 건강하지 않음, &#x03B2;=.26, p=.002), 근무기관(대학병원)(&#x03B2;=.18, p=.024)이었고, 모형의 설명력(R²)은 28.1%이었다. 간호사의 우울 수준을 관리하기 위해서는 피로 수준을 낮추기 위한 전략과 함께 간호사의 건강수준 향상 전략이 필요하다.

This study aimed to investigate depression, fatigue, and role-overload in nurses caring for COVID-19 patients and identify factors affecting depression. Data were collected from 142 nurses caring for COVID-19 patients at four designated COVID-19 hospitals using self-report questionnaires, from September 8, 2020, to September 17, 2020. The subjects' scores for depression, fatigue, and role-overload were 14.51&#x00B1;9.54, 3.19&#x00B1;0.64, and 3.30&#x00B1;0.64 points, respectively. Depression was positively correlated with fatigue (r=.40, p<.001) and role-overload (r=.30, p<.001), and fatigue was positively correlated with role-overload (r=.54, p<.001). Factors affecting depression included fatigue (&#x03B2;=.23, p=.014), health status (moderate: &#x03B2;=.28, p=.001; unhealthy: &#x03B2;=.26, p=.002), and hospital type (university hospital: &#x03B2;=.18, p=.024). The explanatory power (R²) of the model was 28.1%. In order to manage the nurse's depression level, a strategy for lowering the fatigue level and a strategy for improving the nurse's health statue are needed.
