부모의 비일관적 양육태도와 중학생 창의적 성격의 종단적 관계에서 그릿의 매개효과 : 성별 차이를 중심으로

The Mediating Effect of Grit on the Longitudinal Relationship between Inconsistent Parenting Attitude and Creative Personality of Middle School Students : Based on Gender Differences

이 연구는 부모의 비일관적 양육태도가 중학생의 그릿을 매개로 하여 창의적 성격에 미치는 영향을 남학생과여학생으로 구분하여 종단적으로 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 한국아동청소년패널(KCYPS) 2018의 중1에서중3까지의 자료를 활용하여 변인들의 초기값과 변화율의 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학교 1학년이 지각하는 부모의 비일관적 양육태도는 남학생과 여학생 간에 차이가 없지만, 그릿과 창의적태도 수준은 여학생보다 남학생이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 부모의 비일관적 양육태도는 남학생과 여학생모두 학년이 올라가도 변화가 없으며, 그릿과 창의적 성격은 낮아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 중학교 1학년 남학생과여학생 모두 부모의 비일관적 양육태도는 창의적 성격에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않으며, 그릿을 통해서만 창의적성격에 영향을 미치는 완전매개 관계임을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 남학생의 매개 효과가 여학생보다 높음을 알 수있었다. 셋째, 남학생과 여학생 모두 비일관적 부모양육태도의 변화율은 중학생 자녀의 창의적 성격의 변화율에직접적인 영향을 미치지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 남학생은 그릿의 변화율에 의한 매개 효과가 없지만, 여학생은매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 통해 중학생의 창의적 성격 수준을 향상시키기 위해서는일관적 양육태도의 중요성을 이해하는 부모교육을 제공해야 하고 중학교 여학생을 위한 그릿 개발 프로그램이 필요하며, 중학교 남학생을 위해 창의적 성격에의 영향요인을 밝히는 후속연구가 필요함을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to longitudinally analyze the effect of inconsistent parenting attitude on creative personality through grit by categorizing male and female middle school students. The results of the study are as follows: First, there was no difference between male and female students in parents’ inconsistent parenting attitude as perceived by first-year middle school students, although male students showed relatively higher levels of grit and creative attitude than female students. It was found that parents" inconsistent parenting attitude did not change even when both male and female students reached higher grades, although grit and creative personality significantly decreased. Second, it was found that parents" inconsistent parenting attitude did not directly affect the creative personality of both male and female students in the first year of middle school, and it was a fully-mediated relationship that affected creative personality only through grit. It was also found that the mediation effect was higher for males than females. Third, the change rate of inconsistent parenting attitudes of both male and female students does not directly affect the rate of change of middle school children"s creative personality. Additionally, there was no mediating effect by the change rate of grit for males, but it was present for females. Accordingly, it was suggested that a parent education program for improving consistent parenting attitude, grit development program for female students, and an analysis of factors influencing creative personality of male students are needed.
