국내의 SMA 포장에 대한 현장 시공에 대한 연구

A study on the field construction of stone mastic asphalt (SMA) paving in Korea

In Korea, the SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) construction method was introduced in the 1990s and is being constructed as a representative asphalt pavement on the highway. However, the reason why the construction performance of SMA paving on national and local roads is small is that the price of the mixture is expensive and construction and quality management are difficult. SMA paving, which was used on domestic highways, has recently been damaged early due to plastic deformation due to the rapid climate change summer heat wave. The causes of early damage are compared and reviewed with domestic specifications through domestic and foreign literature data. According to a survey of domestic specifications and overseas literature data, it was found that the atmospheric temperature allowed for construction was different and the thickness of the blanket was different depending on the maximum aggregate size of the mixture. Therefore, it could be estimated that early breakage of small deformation occurs in domestic SMA paving due to these influences.
