본 연구는 양궁 선수를 위한 심리기술훈련 프로그램을 선정 및 체계화하여 실제 현장 적용에 따른 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구 참여자의 심리기술 상태 및 특성을 분석함으로써 선수 개인에 적합한 맞춤형 심리기술훈련 프로그램을 선정하고, 다양한 심리기술훈련 기법 및 양적, 질적 평가를 실시하여 현장 적용성을 높이고자 하였다. 2003년도 대한양궁협회에 등록되어 있는 I지역의 여자대학 양궁 선수 1명을 목적적 표집으로 선정하고, 환경적 요인, 선수별 심리기술 상태, 공식 대회 상황, 연구 참여자의 요구 등을 반영한 심리요인별, 연구 단계별 심리기술훈련 프로그램을 개발 및 선정하여 총 58주의 연구 기간 동안 크게 사전 단계, 본 훈련 1단계, 본 훈련 2단계, 본 훈련 3단계, 사후 단계로 구분하여 실제 적용하였다. 심리기술훈련 프로그램은 자기관리 훈련 영역, 목표 설정 훈련 영역, 각성 및 불안조절 훈련 영역, 자신감 훈련 영역, 집중력 훈련 영역, 심상 훈련 영역, 시합 상황 대처 및 자기 조절 훈련 영역으로 범주화하여, 각 훈련 영역별 세부 훈련 프로그램을 선정하여 연습 및 시합 상황에 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 실제 양궁 시합에서 기록의 향상을 나타냈으며, 심리기술 검사지의 하위 요인에서도 부분적으로 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타냈다. 직접적 참여 관찰 결과, 실제 시합 상황에서 다양한 심리기술훈련 기법을 적극 활용하면서 경기에 대한 대처 및 조절 능력이 향상된 것으로 나타났으나, 보다 철저한 분석과 완벽한 심리기술 전략 수립 및 훈련이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.
This study was to examine the effects of the psychological skills training program for archery. The psychological skills training program selected through analyzing the state and characteristics of participants. The study applied various psychological skills training techniques and qualitative/quantitative research method approaches. The archery player was selected by purposive sampling in I college. Psychological skills training program considered psychological factors and stages was applied for 58 weeks consisting of pre-training stage, stage 1 of training, stage 2 of training, stage 3 of training, and post-training stage. Psychological skills training program was categorized as self-management, goal-setting, arousal and anxiety control, self-confidence, concentration, imagery, and coping and self-control. As the results, the score in archery game was improved and the subfactors in an psychological skills questionnaires were also improved. As the result of participant observation, the ability of coping and control in participants were enhanced by using various psychological skills. For the further researches, more intensive studies for psychological skills strategies and training should be performed.
