이 연구의 목적은 조선후기《어영청중순등록》을 이용하여 어영청에서 시행된 무예는 어떤 종목이었으며, 그 내용이 무엇이었는지를 규명하는 것이다. 이에 관한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어영청에서 시행된 무예는《무예도보통지》의 24기 무예이었다. 둘째, 어영청은 용검, 평검, 제독검을 중심으로 보급하였다. 셋째, 무예용어의 차이점이었다. 즉《무예도보통지》에서는 본국검과 신검을 동일한 기예로 보았지만《어영청중순등록》에서는 서로 다른 것으로 파악되었다. 따라서 조선후기의 무예연구는 다양한 자료들을 발굴, 활용하여 미시적 분석이 진행되어야 할 것이다.
This study aims to verify contents of martial arts and examine their subjects through《Eoyeong-cheongJungsunDeungrok》. The conclusions are following. First, The martial arts which apply in Eoyeong-cheong are same as 24 martial art style in《 Muyedobotongji》. Second, Eoyeong-cheong distributed martial arts focused on Yong-geom, pyeong-geom, Jedok-geom. Third, There are differences in term of martial arts. For example, Bonguk-geom is regarded as Shin-geom in《 Muyedobotongji》 but, they are considered different style of sword skill in 《Eoyeong-cheongJungsunDeungrok》. For these reasons, the study of martial arts in late Joseon Dynasty should be progressed with various research materials in microscopic view.
