이 연구는 태극기집회에서 발생한 사회적 인정과 정치적 저항 사이의 관계에 대하여 고찰하였다. 사회적 무시가 낳은 모멸감은 정치적 저항이 촉발되는 데 주요한 영향을 미친다. 모멸감은 비슷한속성과 가치를 가진 사람들에게 확산된다. 이 감정은 잠재되었다가 특정한 계기에 의해 집단적 저항으로 분출되곤 한다. 집단적 저항은 모멸감의 생성, 확산, 그리고 행위를 통한 분출의 과정을 따라발생한다. 이러한 경로를 태극기집회를 통해 살펴보고 인정받기 위한 저항의 과정을 분석하였다. 태극기집회의 주된 참여자는 노년층이었다. 이들은 그동안 사회적으로 무시당하던 존재들이었다. 결국 이들의 누적된 모멸감은 박근혜 대통령의 탄핵을 주장하는 촛불집회를 계기로 결집되었다. 이연구는 태극기집회 주최측과 태극기언론은 모멸감에 내재된 노년층의 도덕적 신념을 강화시켜 집단적 저항에 참여하게 만들었다고 주장하고 있다
This study scrutinizes the relationship between social recognition and political resistance. The sense of humiliation that arises from disrespect has an influence on the political resistance. This emotion spreads to people with similar attributes. This cumulative feeling is latent in general, but it is vented at a specific moment. To sum up, the generation and dissemination of this emotion, and activating of actions by trigger factors is the process of collective resistance. This study analyzes the case of anti-impeachment rally of President Park, Geun-hye(‘Taegeukgi protest’) occurred between November 19, 2016 and March 10, 2017 in Korea. The main participant of this movement was the elderly who has been socially neglected. Their cumulative sense of humiliation was unified owing to the Candlelight protest for President impeachment, and the organizer of Taegeukgi protest and the Taegeukgi journalists strengthened the elderly people"s moral convictions and made them participate in collective resistance.
