The Effect of AI Literacy Improvement on Self-Efficacy

본 연구는 초연결사회를 살아가고 있는 우리는 디지털 정보에서 나아가 인공지능에 대한 전반적인 이해와 통합적 분석, 그리고 이를 활용한 프로그래밍을 할 수 있는 AI 리터러시의 배양 및 향상에 대한 검증을 하고자 하는 것이다. H대학교에서 AI 기초능력과 AI 활용 및 개발능력, AI 윤리의식을 갖춘 미래인재를 양성하기 위해 신입생들을 대상으로 교양필수과목인 AI 프로그래밍의 이해 과목을 중심으로 검증하였다. 연구결과 AI 기초능력, AI 활용 및 개발능력, AI 윤리의식 모두 자기효능감을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 수업을 통해 학생들은 AI에 대한 기초능력부터 활용능력 및 개발능력뿐만 아니라 AI 윤리의식까지 갖추게 되어 그야말로 AI 리터러시를 향상할 수 있게 되었다고 할 수 있다. 이로 인해 학생들은 스스로 문제해결에 대한 자신감과 지속능력을 함양하게 되어 미래 사회에 필요한 인재가 갖추어야할 소양을 함양하는 데 기여하였다고 할 수 있다.

RThis study aims to verify the overall understanding and integrated analysis of artificial intelligence beyond digital information as we live in a hyper-connected society, and the cultivation and improvement of AI literacy that can program using it. In order to nurture future talents equipped with basic AI knowledge, AI application and development ability, and AI ethics awareness at University H, this study was conducted with a focus on understanding AI programming, a compulsory liberal arts course for freshmen. At the end of the semester, all freshmen except for engineering colleges such as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Business School, Health College, and College of Arts and Sports were surveyed and 342 sincere responses out of a total of 800 people were analyzed. Seven professors lecturing the subject were asked to examine the appropriateness and suitability of the questionnaire, and the questions were composed, and the opinions of the students were analyzed through a web questionnaire. As a result of the analysis, it was found that basic knowledge of AI, ability to use and develop AI, and awareness of AI ethics all improve self-efficacy. It can be said that students are able to improve AI literacy by equipping students with not only basic knowledge about AI, application and development abilities, but also a sense of AI ethics through the liberal arts courses. Ultimately, it can be said that students played a role in cultivating the skills needed for future society by cultivating self-confidence and sustainable ability to solve problems.
