최근 데이트폭력이 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 시점에서 이 연구는 데이트폭력의 실태를 분석하고 그 원인을 살펴봄으로써 대처방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 데이트폭력의 유형을 행동통제, 정서적 폭력, 신체적 폭력, 성적 폭력으로 구분하였다. 연구결과, 데이트폭력 중 행동통제의 비율이 높았다. 그리고 데이트폭력의 유형별로 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴본 결과, 연령이 낮을수록 행동통제와 경미한 형태의 신체적 폭력이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 연인의 음주는 행동통제를 유발하고, 본인의 음주는 성적폭력을 유발하는 요인으로 나타났다. 그리고 낮은 자기통제력과 어릴적 가정폭력 경험은 데이트폭력을 유발하는 일관된 요인으로 나타났다. 데이트폭력은 가정폭력과 관련성이 높으므로 가정폭력 예방교육 및 가정폭력 가해자 교육을 지속적으로 실시함으로써 가정폭력에 노출되지 않도록 하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위해 우리 사회에서 가정폭력 근절을 위해 찾아가는 폭력예방교육을 보다 적극적으로 시행할 필요가 있다. 또한 낮은 자기통제력은 데이트폭력을 유발하는 요인으로 나타났으므로 아동기나 청소년기 유대감이나 사회활동, 그리고 인성교육을 통해서 자기통제력을 높일 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.
The purposes of this study were to investigate the actual condition of dating violence and to seek effective countermeasures against dating violence, which is becoming a serious social problem in recent years. For this purposes, the types of dating violence were classified into behavior control, emotional violence, physical violence, and sexual violence. The results of this study were as follows. The violence of behavioral control was most frequent among dating violence. And as a result of verifying the factors which affected the types of dating violence, this study has shown that the lower the age, the higher the violence of behavior control and physical violence. Also lovers’ drinking was a factor that caused behavioral control. Drinking was a factor that caused sexual violence. And low self-control and childhood domestic violence experience were consistent factors that caused dating violence. Since dating violence is highly related to domestic violence, it is necessary to prevent domestic violence by continuing to educate domestic violence prevention education and domestic violence perpetrator education. In addition, low self-control has been shown to cause dating violence. It is necessary to have a sense of community, social activities and personality in childhood and adolescence to increase self-control.
