대학 글쓰기 교육의 현황 및 발전 방향에 대한 교수자의 인식 양상 - 전국 4년제 대학 소속교원 110명의 설문응답결과를 중심으로

Aspects of Instructors" Perceptions of the Status and Development Direction of College Writing Education - Focusing on the survey results of 110 faculty members from four-year colleges nationwide

이 연구는 대학 글쓰기 교육 현장에서 교육을 기획하고 담당해온 교수자들이 대학 글쓰기 교육의 현황 및 발전 방향을 인식하는 양상을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 이 연구에서는 글쓰기 교육을 시행하는 전국 4년제 대학의 글쓰기 담당 소속교원을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행했고, 전체 교원의 31.7%인 110명의 교수자가 설문에 참여했다. 설문은 다음 세 가지 연구문제를 중심으로 한 26개 문항으로 구성되었다: 대학 글쓰기 교수자들은 ⑴ 지난 20여 년간 시행되어온 대학 글쓰기 교육의 다양한 유형(강좌 유형․교수학습 유형)별 효과를 어떻게 인식하는가, ⑵ 현재 소속 대학의 글쓰기 교육 환경이 어떻게 변화하고 있다고 인식하는가, ⑶ 앞으로 대학 글쓰기 교육이 어떻게 변화해야 하며, 해결해야 할 과제는 무엇이라고 생각하는가. 이 연구는 참여 교수자 110명의 폐쇄형․개방형 응답 결과 및 사후인터뷰 참여 교수자 10명의 인터뷰 내용을 양적․질적으로 분석하여, 인식의 경향성 및 세부 양상을 검토했다. 이 연구는 전국 대학의 글쓰기 담당 교수자들이 지난 20여 년 간 교육의 현장에서 경험하고 통찰한 바를 종합하여 전반적인 경향성을 확인하고, 구체적인 통계수치 및 교수자들의 생생한 목소리를 해당 경향성을 입증하는 실증적 자료로 제시했다. 이를 통해, 대학 글쓰기 교육의 성과와 한계, 현황, 앞으로의 방향과 과제에 대한 공론화의 장을 마련했다는 의의가 있다.

This study aims to examine the perception of the status and development direction of college writing education by professors who have planned and oversee education in the field. In this study, a survey was conducted on the faculty members in charge of writing at four-year colleges nationwide, and 110 professors participated in the survey. The survey investigated professors" perceptions of the following three issues: ⑴ the effects of various types of college writing education conducted so far, ⑵ changes in the writing education environment of the colleges to which the professors belong, ⑶ future directions of change in college writing education and tasks to be solved. This study presented the tendency of college writing professors" perceptions by quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing the survey responses of 110 participating professors and the interview contents of 10 professors who participated in the post-interview. This study is meaningful in that it examines the tendency of college writing professors" perceptions of the past, present, and future of college writing education and presents concrete data to prove this.
