이 연구에서는 2020년 코로나19 상황에서 블렌디드 러닝을 경험하게 된 초등교사 의 교육과정 운영(준비, 실행, 학생 평가)과 관련하여 어떻게 교사로서의 역할을 수행 하고 있고, 앞으로 어떠한 역할을 수행해야 할지에 대한 인식을 내러티브 탐구를 통 해 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 정보 관련 업무와 교육과정 설계에 경험이 많은 교사를 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육과정 준비 및 실행 면에서 A교사와 B교사는 단기적인 교육과정 계획 수립 및 운영, 맞춤형 학습 운영의 어려움, 정보통신기술의 적극적인 활용 등을 코로나19 이전과 과거와 다른 교 사 역할로 제시하고 있다. 둘째, 학생 평가 면에서 A교사와 B교사는 과거와 대부분 유사하게 운영하고 있지만, 온라인 수업 확대로 학생 학습 진단, 온라인 평가의 공정 성에 대한 고려, 방역 수칙으로 인한 인지적 측면에 한정된 평가로 인한 고민 등을 새로운 교사의 경험으로 제시하고 있다. 셋째, 과거와 현재 교사의 역할을 비교했을 때 A교사와 B교사는 학습 조력자, 학습 촉진자, 교육과정 개발자, 학습자의 역할이 더 중요해졌고, 앞으로 블렌디드 러닝 환경에서 교사의 역할이 이러한 방향으로 나아 가야 함을 제시하였다. 연구결과를 통하여 향후 블렌디드 러닝을 활용해아 할 때 교 사가 교육과정 관련 역할을 잘 수행하기 위해 필요한 점을 제안하였다.
This study explored how two elementary school teachers have been playing roles in terms of curriculum management(preparation, implement, student evaluation) with blended learning under the COVID-19 situation in 2020. To this end, two teachers’ experiences of curriculum management as well as their perceptions of desirable roles for curriculum management with blended learning were examined through narrative study. The data was collected through in-depth interviews. In terms of curriculum preparation and implementation, Teacher A and Teacher B had hard time to make a long-term curriculum planning and management due to lots of changes of academic schedules due to COVID-19. In terms of student evaluation, Teacher A and Teacher B showed mostly similar implementation to the past, but due to the expansion of online classes, difficulties in diagnosing student learning, impairing the fairness of online evaluation, and evaluating limited to cognitive aspects due to quarantine rules were presented as different experiences from the past. Compared to the roles of teachers in the past, under the blended learning environment, teacher A and Teacher B suggested that teachers should play the roles as learning assistants, learning facilitators, curriculum developers, and learners. Based on the findings of the study, the desirable roles of teachers in order to utilize blended learning were discussed.
