In this manuscript, the author introduces a new concept named “three-sided message” (named by author). A three-sided message includes positive, negative, and neutral information about the product or person. This study brings a new issue (three-sided message effect) to the communication academia and discusses that issue for the future investigation of communication phenomenon. This paper also introduces a new theory (The Self-interest theory) which explains the effect of three-sided messages in the communication processes.
