『유가사지론』 점토석독구결에 사용된 ‘빼침선’은 아직까지 그 기능이 밝혀지지 않았다. 이 글에서는 현재까지 발견된 『유가사지론』 점토석독구결 자료 전체에서 빼침선이 기입되었다고 판독된 모든 용례를 대상으로, 빼침선의 모양과 방향과 시작점의 위치를 기술하고, 상대적으로 용례가 많은 빼침선(22~32), 빼침선(31), 빼침선(42), 빼침선(43)의 분포와 의미의 공통성을 검토하였다. 검토 결과, 다음과 같은 몇 가지 경향성을 찾을 수 있었다. 첫째, 빼침선(22~32)와 빼침선(31)은 대체로 ‘爲’의 독법을 구분하여 표시하는 기능을 가진 것으로 추정된다. 둘째, 빼침선(42)는 대체로 ‘說’ 구문에서 인용문이 어디까지인지, ‘-□ -□’ 구문에서 나열된 내용이 어디까지인지를 표시하는 기능을 가진 것으로 추정된다. 셋째, 빼침선(22~32)의 일부와 빼침선(31)과 빼침선(43)은 같은 위치의 점토와 관련된 것일 가능성이 있다. 따라서 모든 빼침선을 포괄하는 기능을 설정하는 것은 현재로서는 어려우며, 기능에 따른 명칭을 가진 다른 부호들과는 달리 앞으로도 당분간 형태에 따른 명칭을 사용해야 할 것으로 보인다.
Functions of tapered lines used in code kugyol of Yuqieshidilun have not been founded out yet. In this paper, I checked all tapered lines and described their shapes, directions, and positions of starting point, and searched for the respective common properties of tapered line(22~32), tapered line(31), tapered line(42). After examination, I extracted the following tendencies; Firstly, it is assumed that tapered line(22~32) and tapered line(31) generally represent two different ways of reading of ‘爲’. Secondly, it is assumed that tapered line(42) generally represent where quotations end in construction of ‘說’, and where enumerated lists end in construction of ‘-□ -□’. Thirdly, it is possible that some tapered line(22~32), tapered line(31), tapered line(43) have relation to kugyol points in the same position. Therefore it is difficult to establish comprehensive function of all tapered lines now, and it would seems that we should use the term based on the shape of line will be used for the present.
