본 연구에서는 교사의 공동체적 수업실천, 학급의 공동체적 수업실천, 학교폭력(가해행동과 피해경험)을 주요 연구변인으로 설정하고 이들 간의 인과관계를 이론적으로 검토하고 그것을 실증적으로 확인하는 것을 주 연구문제로 설정하였다. 부산시와 양산시 초등학교 12개교에 재학하고 있는 6학년을 대상으로 1,190명을 표집하여 이들에게 교사의 공동체적 수업실천과 학급의 공동체적 수업실천, 학교폭력(가해행동과 피해경험)을 측정하는 문항으로 구성된 질문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이에 따른 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사의 공동체적 수업실천이 학급의 공동체적 수업실천에 직접적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사의 공동체적 수업실천이 학교폭력 가해행동과 피해경험에 직․간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학급의 공동체적 수업실천이 학교폭력 가해행동과 피해경험에 직접적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학교폭력 가해행동을 감소시키고, 학교폭력 피해를 줄이고 예방하기 위해서는 초등학교에서 교사의 공동체적 수업실천과 학급에서의 공동체적 수업실천을 높일 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.
This study aims to theoretically construct the causal relationships among the communal instructional practices of the teacher, classroom and school violence (bullying behavior, victimizing behavior) and to empirically test the relationships among the three variables. In order to construct unique data set, we survey 1,190 sixth grade elementary school students in Busan and Yangsan. The questionnaire includes the questions regarding the communal instructional practices of the teacher, classroom and school violence. The paper employs the structural equation modelling to test the causal relationships among the two unobserved independent variables and the observed dependent variable. The results are as follows. First, the teacher"s communal instructional practices directly affect the communal instructional practices of the classroom. Second, the teacher"s communal instructional practices directly and indirectly affect the school violence including both bullying behavior and victimizing behavior. Third, the communal instructional practices of the classroom directly affect the experience of bullying and of the victimization of school violence. Based on the results, the study suggests that the communal instructional practices of the teacher and classroom need to be enhanced in elementary schools in order to reduce and prevent school violence.
