This study examined the associations between adolescent-perceived parenting styles and overt and relational aggression in South Korean adolescents. The sample consisted of 361 Korean adolescents in the 7th and 8th grade. Adolescents completed questionnaires about Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire and their own behaviors of overt and relational aggression. Regression analysis was employed to determine the associations between adolescent-perceived fathers" and mothers" parenting styles and overt and relational aggression of the adolescents. Regression analyses indicated that adolescent-perceived fathers’ authoritarian parenting style was positively related with girls’ overt and relational aggression whereas adolescent-perceived mothers’ authoritative and authoritarian parenting style showed a negative relationship with girls’ overt aggression. However, there was no association found between adolescent-perceived fathers’ and mothers’ authoritative and authoritarian parenting style and overt and relational aggression of boys.
