노인 - 자녀 간 정서적 지원 교환양상이 재혼인식에 미치는 영향 - 자녀관계만족도의 매개효과 검증 -

The Effect of Emotional Intergenerational Exchange Patterns on The Attitude of Remarriage among Single Elderly: The Mediating Effect of The Parent - child Relationship Satisfaction

본 연구의 목적은 노인-자녀 간 정서적 지원 교환양상이 재혼인식에 미치는 영향에서 자녀관계만족도의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 분석에 활용된 자료는 전국표본을 대상으로 하는 2014년도 노인실태조사 원자료이며, 본 연구에서는 배우자와 사별 또는 이혼한 65세 이상 노인 3,638명을 최종 분석에 활용하였다. 연구방법으로는 SPSS 21.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술 통계, 상관 분석 실시 후 다중회귀분석을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 자녀관계만족도의 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위하여 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 자녀에게 제공하는 정서적 지원이 자녀에게 지원받는 정서적 지원보다 큰 경우에는 자녀관계만족도가 낮고 재혼인식은 높으며, 반대로 자녀에게 제공하는 정서적 지원이 자녀에게 지원받는 정서적 지원보다 적은 경우에는 자녀관계만족도가 높고 재혼인식은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 노인-자녀 간 정서적 지원 교환양상에 따른 자녀관계만족도가 노인의 재혼인식을 완전매개함을 확인하였고, 신체적·정서적으로 특히 취약한 홀로된 노인을 위한 가족적·사회적 측면의 개입 시사점을 도출하였다.

This study examined the mediating effect of the parent-child relationship satisfaction on the relationship between emotional intergenerational exchange patterns and attitude of remarriage among the single elderly. The data of the study were drawn from the 2014 Survey of the Living Conditions and Welfare for the Elderly complied by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, and published by the Ministry of the Health and Welfare. The survey was targeted to Korean elderly whose age is over 65, and this study analysed 3,638 people of the data who live alone after divorce or bereavement. As research methods, frequency, descriptive statistics, correlate analysis, and multi-regression analysis were conducted by SPSS 21 statistical package program. Additionally, bootstrapping was used to verify the significant mediating effect of parent-child relationship satisfaction. The findings are follows: the elderly who provides more emotional support to their children rather than receives from their children shows high child relationship satisfaction and low remarried recognition. On the other hand, the elderly who provides less emotional support to their children rather than receives from them shows low child relationship satisfaction and high remarried recognition in the emotional intergenerational exchange. Based on the results, we found that the parent-child relationship has the full mediating effect between emotional intergenerational exchange patterns and the attitude of remarriage among the elderly. And this study suggested theoretical and practical implications for the single elderly.
