‘빛과 그림자’ 프로젝트를 통한 유아의 그림자 개념 변화

The Change of Young Children"s Shadow Conception in the Light and Shadow Project

The purpose of this study was to observe and analyze the changing process of the young children"s shadow conception in the course of light and shadow project. The Subjects of this study were 14 young children, aged three years, attending S child care centers located in N Gu. This study was implemented from Oct. 31. 2016 to Dec. 16. 2016. The results were as follows. Young children showed more improvement in knowledge about the relationship between object and shadow, the shadow direction on the other side of the light, the shadow size along the distance of light and object. And young children became interested in the relationship between the passage of light and shadow. Considering the result of this study, the project approach based light and shadow activity is a useful way to the young children"s shadow education. This study pursue to supply groundwork which is helpful to plan teaching by understanding young children"s shadow conception.

본 연구는 ‘빛과 그림자’ 프로젝트를 통하여 유아들의 그림자에 대한 개념 변화를 알아보는데 목적이있다. 이를 위해 서울 N구에 소재한 S어린이집에 다니는 만 3세 14명을 대상으로 2016년 10월31일부터12월 16일까지 빛과 그림자 프로젝트를 18회 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유아들은 빛과 그림자 프로젝트 과정을 수행하면서 사물과 그림자의 관계를 이해하게 되었고, 빛의 반대편에 생기는 그림자의 방향에 대한이해와 빛과 사물의 거리에 따른 그림자 크기변화에 대한 이해가 나타났으며 빛의 통과와 그림자의 관계에 대한 관심이 나타났다. 결론적으로 프로젝트 접근법에 기초한 빛과 그림자 활동은 유아들의 그림자개념변화에 효과적인 방법으로 그림자에 관한 유아 교수방법에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
