A bilateral comparison of mass standards of 100 mg, 100 g and 2 kg was carried out between the Ulusal Metroloji Enstitusu (UME, Turkey) and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS, Korea) during the period from December 2005 to June 2006. For 100 g and 2 kg, the difference between the data obtained at the UME and those obtained at the KRISS was less than the combined uncertainty for the two standards. This result demonstrates accordingly, the metrological equivalence between the UME and the KRISS in dierent regions. Showing instability, 100 mg weight showed a degree of equivalence is larger than one. Despite this point, the measurement capability can still be validated because each uncertainty was within less than one-third the maximum permissible error (∽1.6 μg) for an E1 class weight.
