The purpose of this study is to analyze the result of energy conservation technology development which is done during 1992 - 2000 and using the result of the work, try to establish the energy technology policy. Using energy technology tree, the individual projects has been classified with 5 areas such as industry, furnace-metal, building, transportation, and electricity. Commercialization success ratio, technology royalty, investment amount, final stage assessment of each projects has been used to develope the excellent projects. The common aspects of excellent projects are diverse utilization of technology development know-how in the areas of old history market and make the best use of pre-secured market and open the new the market. High commercialization areas are where the new market expectation is open and direct assess of technology development is possible. The number of commercialization success projects are 50 which is 12.9% of 387 total projects. Electricity area is the highest which is 23.8% and which is due to the direct assess of market in the area of lighting, motor, heat, electricity conversion. Also, the commercialization ratio is high in the area of technology royalty paying projects, excellent projects ratio has been almost the same(5%), the number of discontinued projects were 20 which was the 5% of total projects.
본 연구의 목적은 정부가 1992년부터 2000년 말까지 추진한 에너지절약기술개발사업에 대한 성과분석을 통하여 향후 기술개발방향을 정립하고 그동안 투자된 사업의 성과를 분석하는데 있다. 기술체계도를 활용하여 산업, 요로금속, 건물, 수송, 전기 등 5개 대분야별로 사업들을 분류하였으며 분야별 상용화 성공률, 기술료 납부현황, 총사업비 투자액, 사업종료 시의 평가 등을 기초로 하여 분야별 우수 사업군을 발굴하였다. 우수사업군들의 공통적인 특징은 사업의 역사가 긴 분야에서는 기존의 기술개발 Know-how 등을 잘 활용하였으며 기 확보된 시장의 활용 및 새로운 시장의 개척과 관련이 깊다. 새로운 시장에 대한 기대와 현재 기술개발결과가 즉시 마케팅에 연결되는 분야는 상용화율이 높았다. 상용화 성공사업수는 50개 사업으로 총 387사업의 12.9%에 달한다. 분야별로 전기부문이 23.8%에 달하여 가장 높았으며 이는 조명, 전동기, 전열, 전력변환등 관련기술의 성공이 매출과 직접 연결되기 때문이다. 기술료 대상사업의 상용화 성공률이 높았으며 우수사업비율은 5개 사업군에서 32% 내외로 큰 차이가 없었고 중단사업수는 20개 사업으로 전체의 5%에 달한다.
