An analysis of mathematics-related activities in teacher"s guide books of the national five years old Nuri curriculum

5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서의 수학 관련 활동 분석: 교육과정 관련 요소를 중심으로

This study examined the objectives, content, teaching methods, and evaluation criteria of the national five years old Nuri curriculum teacher"s guide books published in 2012. Based on the analysis by preliminary studies, 89 mathematical activities from the national five years old Nuri curriculum teacher"s guide books were data processed into frequency and percentage, and then further analyzed. The results demonstrated that the national five years old Nuri curriculum teacher"s guide books failed to sufficiently state the objectives of the mathematical activities and lacked balanced themes of the mathematical education. The manuals were mostly consisted of child-directed play-centered teaching methods and game-based teaching methods and evaluation of mathematical concepts. However, the national five years old Nuri curriculum teacher"s guide books lack the evaluation criteria for mathematical process skills and mathematical attitudes.

본 연구는 2012년에 발행한 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서 11권의 수학 관련 활동의 목표, 내용, 교수방법, 평가의 요소가 어떠한지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구들을 토대로 추출된 분석준거에 의해 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서의 수학 관련 활동 89개를 빈도와 백분율로 자료처리를 하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에서 수학 관련 활동의 목표 진술에 문제가 있음을 보여주고 있으며, 생활주제별로 수학교육 내용이 균등하게 다루어지고 있지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아 주도의 놀이 중심 교수방법과 게임을 활용한 교수방법이 가장 많이 포함되어 있었으며, 수학적 개념에 대한 평가가 가장 많이 진술되어 있으나, 수학의 과정기술과 수학적 태도에 대한 평가 요소는 거의 포함되지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
