This paper describes the satellite acquisition error for Tracking, Telemetry and Command of LEO(Low Earth Orbit) satellite such as the KOMPSAT. During Launch and Early Operations Phase (LEOP) or emergency of satellite for satellite acquisition it shows the allowable acquisition errors of satellite position as functions of angle, satellite path length, and time in 3dB beamwidth of a tracking antenna that may be considered by general analysis method, and at over 3dB beamwidth as the expanded analysis via the communication possibility that has enough carrier S/N margin under the assumption that the link is not affected by the interference of some factors such as the antenna sidelobe and the multipath of a signal. We propose two methods to obtain the allowable acquisition errors as functions of angle, satellite path length, and acquisition time.
