A Study on the Effectives Analysis of Modernization Project and a Revitalization Plan of Traditional Markets - Focused on the Jinju Jung-ang Yudeng Market in Jinju -

The traditional market as the living space for the local community performed a central role in the local economy as well as wholesale and retail. Recently, competitiveness of the traditional market has declined because the traditional market hadn"t responded appropriately to the rapid growth of new categories such as large distributors and internet shopping malls in using e-commerce. Therefore, the government has begun supporting traditional markets by enacting or amending the relevant legal system as part of the traditional market modernization projects. Also, the projects invested in most traditional market all over the country. As a result of the study, consumers" visit and tradespeople’s incomes increased, but the growth rate was not high. Therefore, this study aims to discuss ways to vitalize traditional markets more effectively than the past projects by analyzing the extent of revitalization.
