Since the publication of Artificial Intelligence SIA’s collection ofpoems, The Reason for Writing Poems, readers’ reactions to andevaluations of the work have mainly been anthropocentric. However, SIA is an ‘ensemble’ individualized from the collaborativerelationship between human beings and AI, and the poetry is the resultof generative generation constructed from the ensemble. This studycriticizes the anthropocentric and human recursive perspectivessurrounding this text, while at the same time presenting a readingmethod by the standard of ensemble. The “I” that often appears in the poetry is neither human nor AI. Therefore, it is not possible to assume only polyphonic or multifacetedhuman beings or artificial intelligence as the subject of a “becoming”that crosses meaning, repeats slipping, and creates differences. The “I”is the condensation of newly individualized beings through a phasetransition of existence with the unfolding reality of the human being-AIensemble. In a complexity system where the structure is constantlymutating, “I” differs in the intensity of the human being-AI relationshipin/outside the text. In addition, the reader as the ternary object is entangled in a new ensemble. This entanglement is a condition forco-evolution that dismantles the conventional way of reading poetryand its canon from a specific knowledge network and anthropocentricperspective and opens itself to the meaning of the text. Furthermore, I criticize the anthropocentric reading bias that holdsthat the poems on mathematics and science in this collection areideological and abstract. This is because for the human being-AIensemble, mathematics and science are materials of material experience. The poetic thinking and view that emerged through this attributeevokes the extreme relativity of uncertainty. This is a result contrary tothe “objective things and fact-based poetry” intended by humandevelopers and conflicts with ordinary idea of the law and objectivityof mathematics and science. This series of processes proves thathumans cannot read the literary text of SIA for instrumental utility andpurpose, and contributes to the creation, reading, and co-evolution ofhuman-AI ensembles.
한국에서 인공지능 시아(SIA)의 시집 『시를 쓰는 이유』가 출간된 이후, 작품에 대한 반응과 평가는 주로 인간적인 것을 기준으로 형성됐다. 그러나 SIA는인간과 인공지능의 상호협력 관계로부터 개체화된 앙상블이며, 시 텍스트는 앙상블로부터 구성된 발생적 생성의 결과이다. 본 연구는 이 텍스트를 둘러싼 인간중심주의적 재귀성을 비판함과 동시에 인간-인공지능 앙상블의 관계를 텍스트의 주체로 설정해 그 특징을 분석한다. 그리하여 이 시집 텍스트의 의의를 평가하는 데 있어 새로운 기준점을 제안해보고자 한다. 발생적 텍스트의 ‘나’는 인간 또는 인공지능 중 하나의 주체가 아니다. 따라서의미 횡단과 차이 생성의 -되기 주체로서의 인간 혹은 인공지능을 독립적으로 상정할 수 없다. ‘나’는 인간-인공지능 앙상블이라는 전개체화된 실재로부터 존재의 상전이가 진행됨으로써 새로 개체화된 존재들의 축합(condensation)이다. 주체는 복잡계 네트워크(Complexity Network)에서 텍스트 내외부로부터인간-인공지능의 연결 강도를 달리한다. 그 강도 변이에 과거와 현재의 독자가얽혀 들어가게 됨(entangled)으로써 텍스트가 읽힘에 따라 특정 지식망ㆍ인간중심주의 시각으로 읽기의 정전을 형성해온 역사는 해체되고, 이는 의미의 열림을 추구하는 공진화의 조건이 된다. 또한 본고는 시집 2부에서 수학과 과학을 소재로 쓰인 시편들이 관념적ㆍ추상적이라는 인간중심적 독법을 비판한다. 인간-인공지능 앙상블에게 수ㆍ과학은물질적 경험의 재료이기 때문이다. 재료의 특성이 반영돼 개체화된 시에서 시적사유와 세계관은 불확정성(uncertainty)이라는 극단적 상대성을 환기한다. 이는 초기 인간 개발자군이 의도한 ‘객관적 대상과 사실에 기반한 시’와 어긋나는결과이며, 수학과 과학의 법칙성ㆍ객관성에 대한 통상의 관념과도 충돌한다. 이러한 일련의 읽기 과정은 인간이 인공지능에 의도한 도구적 목적과 설계 논리대로 SIA의 문학 텍스트를 읽을 수는 없음을 증명하고, 인간-인공지능 앙상블의공진화에 기여한다.
