In this paper, we introduce trends on technology, policy and service developments for autonomous vehicle and mobile communications. An autonomous vehicle, one of next generation key business products, has drawn lots of attentions of industry and countries. To support more advanced autonomous driving, it is essential to add connectivity to each of these autonomous vehicles with infrastructure, pedestrians, networks and so on through vehicle-to-everything (V2X) wireless communication technologies. Such convergence of autonomous driving and mobile communications can create a diverse business models, and we give an overview on these trends and future outlook.
본 논문에서는 자율주행과 이동통신의 기술 개발, 국가별 정책 동향과 서비스 발전 방향에 대해 소개한다. 자율주행차는 차세대 시장을 이끌 수 있는 분야로 다수의 기업들이 개발에 총력을 기울이고 있다. 초고도화된 자율주행을 지원하기 위해서는 개개의 차량의 자율주행화와 함께 차량, 인프라, 보행자 등 교통 주체들 간의 정보교환을 위한 이동통신 기술 접목이 필수적이다. 이러한 자율주행과 이동통신의 결합은 다양한 서비스를 도출할 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 자율주행 및 이동통신의 기술 동향과 서비스 사업 모델을 종합하여 소개한다.
