This study analyzed the trends of research papers on AI-based Chinese language education published in Korean journals. We searched the Research Information Service (RISS) for relevant articles published in Korean journals, and used keywords such as ‘artificial intelligence’, ‘chatbot’, ‘AI’, ‘robot’, ‘Chinese’, ‘Chinese education’, ‘artificial intelligence speaker’, and ‘ITS’ as search terms. The research papers related to Chinese language education based on AI published in domestic journals were divided into three subcategories, including AI development, AI analysis, and AI utilization, and analyzed in detail. As a result, 16 studies related to AI utilization in Chinese language education appeared, accounting for the majority of AI-related research in Chinese language education, while 3 studies related to AI development appeared. Next, we analyzed the research papers related to A.I. in the field of Chinese language education by year, and found that research papers related to A.I. in the field of Chinese language education in Korea began to appear in 2009, and while research was intermittent in the early years, research began to be conducted in earnest in 2019. In particular, the number of related papers in 2023 showed a significant increase compared to previous years. We also suggested the direction of future research on A.I. in the field of Chinese language education. Specifically, we looked at future research directions related to various intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) based on AI speech recognition, chatbots, AI translation and interpretation programs based on neural network technology (NMT), and finally, AI that can be used as a teaching assistant, research assistant, and administrative assistant for instructors.
본 연구에서는 국내 학술지에 게재된 인공지능에 기반한 중국어 교육 관련 연구 논문들의 동향을 분석하여 지금까지 어떠한 연구가 이루어져 왔는지 분석하였다. 국내 학술지에 게재된 관련 논문들을 살펴보기 위하여 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에서 검색하였으며, ‘인공지능’, ‘챗봇’, ‘AI’, ‘로봇’, ‘중국어’, ‘중국어 교육’, ‘인공지능 스피커’, ‘ITS’ 등 키워드를 검색어로 사용하였다. 국내 학술지에 게재된 인공지능에 기반한 중국어 교육 관련 연구 논문을 인공지능 개발, 인공지능 분석, 인공지능 활용의 등 3개의 하위 범주로 나누어 탐색하고 구체적으로 분석한 결과 중국어 교육에서는 인공지능 활용과 관련된 연구가 16편 나타나 중국어 교육 분야에서 나타나는 인공지능 관련 연구의 대부분을 차지하고 있으며 인공지능 개발과 관련된 연구는 3편 나타났다. 다음으로 중국어 교육 분야에서 나타나는 인공지능 관련 연구 논문들을 년도 별로 분석한 결과 국내 중국어 교육 분야에서 인공지능 관련 연구 논문들은 2009년도부터 나타나기 시작하였으며 초창기에는 연구가 간헐적으로 나타나다가 2019년도부터 비교적 본격적으로 연구가 수행되기 시작하였음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 2023년도에는 관련 논문이 이전 해와 비교하여 현저하게 증가하고 있음을 보여주었다. 또한 향후 인공지능과 관련하여 중국어 교육 분야에서 진행되어야 할 연구의 방향을 제안하였다. 구체적으로 챗봇과 관련된 향후 연구 방향에 대하여 살펴보았으며 인공지능 음성인식 기능에 기반한 여러 ITS(Intelligent tutoring system)와 관련된 향후 연구 방향에 대하여 살펴보았다. 또한 인공신경망 기술(NMT)을 기반으로 하는 인공지능 통･번역 프로그램과 관련된 연구 방향을 살펴보았으며 마지막으로 교수자의 교육 보조, 연구 보조, 행정 보조로 활용될 수 있는 인공지능과 관련된 향후 연구 방향을 살펴보았다.
