The purpose of this paper is to analyze the semantic relationship between vocabulary associations and vocabulary use, and on this basis to come up with a plan to present vocabulary meanings effectively to foreign learners. Nation(2018: 94) said that `association" was a mechanism that could describe the organizational structure of the lexicon in the mind, and that it could identify the relationships between parts of speech and its own hierarchical structure. Understanding the semantic relationships between words is essential for learners to understand the meaning of words. It is useful in explaining the meaning and organizing activities that enrich learners" understanding of words. If the structure of the mental lexicon and the daily conversation corpus are composed of the same structure and content, vocabulary teaching and learning using the corpus will be valid. Therefore, in this paper, I compare and analyze the semantic relationships revealed through word association experiments and the semantic relationships of corpus used in actual daily life, and examine the validity of vocabulary learning using corpus.
