Purpose - The focus is on examining the determinants of institutional quality and its impact on FDI in the CIS from 2002 to 2022. The analysis applied FDI determinants by utilizing panel data analysis to examine. Design/Methodology/Approach - This research study employs a variety of analytical methods, including cross-sectional dependency test, Heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation tests, CADF panel second generation unit root test, and regression analysis using Driscoll-Kraay standard errors with a Pooled OLS estimator, as well as the Prais-Winsten heteroskedastic standard error test to control heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation. Findings - The findings indicate that there are positive and statistically significant causal associations between the factors of Institutional quality with FDI. Conversely, trade openness, inflation, and population growth exert a negative and statistically significant impact on FDI inflows. Research Implications - The investigation has resulted in the suggestion of numerous policy suggestions that politicians in the countries under the study ought to contemplate. According to these findings, the CIS nations should stop seeing FDI as a magic bullet for their slow economic development and start focusing on internal problems. In order to entice international investors, CIS nations need design measures to upgrade their facilities.
