The purpose of this research was to find out how Korean college students' perceptions of ChatGPT use had changed throughout the semester while they were taking an English speaking class. Specifically, this research attempted to investigate how they viewed the ChatGPT-utilized English speaking class, in terms of class satisfaction, confidence in English speaking, and ability to use ChatGPT. A total of 45 students completed both a pre- and post-survey, and a t-test was employed to see how the students' perceptions of the ChatGPT use had changed throughout the semester. The results of data analysis indicated that, first of all, there was no statistically significant change in terms of 'Class satisfaction' between pre- and post-survey responses. The students' class satisfaction before and after using ChatGPT was shown to have not changed. Second, only the mean score has slightly increased in terms of 'Confidence in English speaking' throughout the semester, and it did not show any significant change. Third, ChatGPT was confirmed to have a statistically significant influence on students' perceptions toward their 'Ability to use ChatGPT' in their learning process of English speaking, which means that the students recognized that they had come to have the ability to use it. From the findings, some pedagogical implications for using AI-utilized tools in the EFL classes were suggested.
