This paper examines the historical background and evolution of online gambling, explores its economic and social impacts in modern society, and highlights the negative consequences of its proliferation, such as youth gambling addiction, crime induction, and personal data breaches. It then seeks to identify effective regulatory measures to address these issues. First, the evolution of online gambling is analyzed from technological and industrial perspectives.
