This study analyzes Korean fairly tales in order to clarify the categories, values and attitudes of prosocial behavior. Objects of this research are thirty eight volumes of Korean fairy tales and analyzes using content analysis. The findings of this study are as follows. Firstly, the categories of prosocial behavior in Korean fairy tales are helping, no greed, pietyA, sharing, brotherhood, cooperation, no stealing, sincerity, keeping prornise. and etc. Secondly, the values and attitudes of prosocial behavior lies the promotion of virtue and reproval of vice thinking of rewarding the good and punishing the wicked, life respect, returning a favour, piety and brotherhood. Thirdly, comparison of prosocial behavior in Korea and the Westems commonly shows helping and sharing, cooperation, consolation, caring, keeping prornise, honesty. but are different from those in several aspects.
