The author reviewed briefly some phenomena, which therapist faced in psychotherapy, such as resistance, transference and countertransference. The concepts and manifested forms, namely the patterns of emotional reactions and behaviors are discussed. According to Jung’s idea, transference has purposive value and it must be understood not only reductive, but also synthetic and constructive. Also he mentioned about archeytypal transference. About countertranrference concept there are different opinions. Some authors regarded it as the empathic reaction of the therapist to the patient’s transference. The others regarded it as inappropriate reaction of the therapist toward the patient etc. The aforementioned various phenomena must be carefully observed & analysed, and we must understand what that mean for the therapy.
