빅데이터 분석 도구 R 언어를 이용한 교육 자료 시각화

Visualizing Educational Material using a Big Data Analytical Tool R Language

최근에 빅데이터 분석 기술이 발달함에 따라 많은 분야에서 빅데이터 분석 기술을 적용하는 연구 가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초중등 교과 내용을 포함하여 교육 자료를 시각화하여 그 특성을 파악하는 데 빅데이터 분석 기술을 적용하였다. 우선 빅데이터 분석 도구로 많이 사용되고 있는 R 언 어를 이용하여 교육 내용에 대해 주요 용어를 중심으로 분석한다. 다음으로 교육 자료의 주요 용어와 개념에 대해 분석한 결과의 시각화 방안을 제시한다. 통계학적인 시각화 방안과 더불어 교육 내용의 주요 용어들 간의 연관 관계를 자동으로 도출하여 학습에 도움이 될 수 있는 마인드맵 형태로 제시 한다. 본 연구에서는 제안한 방안을 빅데이터의 분석과 시각화에 적합한 R 도구를 이용하여 구현하였 다. 시각화 대상 교육 자료로 제주 환경 교육 자료를 수집하였으며 이에 적합한 분석 알고리즘을 개 발하고 시각화 결과를 도출하였다. 특히, 마인드 맵 형태의 시각화 교육 자료를 통해 교수자와 학습 자는 교육 내용에 대한 이해와 학습 제고를 가져올 것으로 기대한다.

Recently, as Big Data analysis technology develops, many researches are being conducted to apply Big Data analysis technology. In this study, big data analysis technology was applied to visualize educational material including the learning contents of elementary and secondary school curriculum and to grasp its characteristics. First, we analyze the main terms of educational contents using R language, which is widely used as a big data analysis tool. Next, we propose how to visualize the analysis results of the main terms and concepts of educational materials. In addition to the statistical visualization method, the correlation between the main terms of the educational content is automatically derived and presented in the form of a mindmap that can be helpful for learning. In this study, we implemented the proposed method using R tool suitable for analysis and visualization of big data. Educational material related to Jeju environmental education was collected. Based on the material, we developed appropriate analysis algorithms and derived visualization results. In particular, through visualization of education materials in the form of a mindmap, teachers and learners are expected to understand the contents of education and improve their learning.
