A 27-year-old male patient was studied with a polysomnography. His main problems were irresistible sleep and sudden loss of muscle tone. Cataleptic attacks were triggered by vigorous body movements or dysphoric mood. Dreamlike visual hallucinations occured at sleep onset with sleep paralysis. Overnight polysomnography and Multiple Sleep Latency Test(MSLT) showed sleep onset REM sleep 2 times.
