Although dysmorphophobia, a subjective feeling of ugliness in a persen of normal appearance, constitute a distintive symptom cluster occasionally seen in patients requesting cosmetic surgery, it is not included in psychiatric diagnostic system until DSM-III R is appeared. Patients with dysmorphophobia are usually young and perfectionistic and have both schizoid and narcissistic traits. The author presented one case of body dysmorphic disorder( dysmorphophobia) with familial tencency.
