In this study, elementary 3~4 grade mathematics textbooks applied storytelling were analyzed on the content domain, formal domain, functional domain. First, the contents of the story was configured independently of the developmental stage of the learner. Second, it was focused on ‘telling’ format. Third, the storytelling is mainly functioning to induce the interest of the learner than understanding the concepts and algorithms. Based on the results of these studies, it is intended to provide a suggested research associated with the development of the future of mathematics curriculum for books.
