Neuroscientific view on quantitative reasoning in algebra education

In this article, I described quantitative reasoning, which provide alternative perspective of current algebra education, and related neuroscientific studies about it. I reviewed studies about neurological mechanism of number sense, relationsihp of number sense and achievement of mathematics, perception of discrete continuous quantities, and use of symbols, and also discussed studies which is related to learning of algebra. On the basis of reviews, I suggested some topics of neuroscientific study to scrutinize quantitative reasoning.
