iBooks Author를 활용한 시각 기관 디지털 교재 개발

Development of a digital textbook on visual organs using iBooks author

The purposes of this study was to develop a digital textbook on visual organs for middle school students in Korea. The digital textbook was developed on Mac and iPad using a iBooks Author program as a authorizing tool. The application and evaluation of the digital textbook were conducted for 15 students of 2nd grade in a middle school using a questionnaire. Nine items in the user domain were evaluated using the 5-point Likert scale. The evaluation results showed that various multimedia contents in the digital textbook helped to elicit an interest in learning the structure of the visual organ. By using the digital textbook developed in this study, it is expected that students will have an interest in the structure of the eye, eliminate their misconceptions about the visual accommodation process of the lens and the paths of the image formation on the retina, and have greater scientific understanding.
