To express political orientation is one of unique activities of human being. Jonathan Haidt noted that political orientation of liberals and conservatives is based on different moral foundation. Liberals are sensitive to harm and fairness whereas conservatives are sensitive to all moral foundations equally. Recently study revealed that these differences come from different brain structure. Liberals’ political orientation and morality are associated with insula and anterior cingulate cortex. Those of conservatives’ are associated with amygdala. Neuroscientific correlates of political orientation and morality can help us to understand psychological process and moral behaviors. Furthermore, these would bind us.
