Socioeconomic status affects development of adolescent. In particularly, lower socioeconomic status has a negative impact on development of adolescent. However, adolescent who grow up in a low socioeconomic state read and understand other’s minds and thoughts. Why did adolescent with low socioeconomic status read their minds and minds well? dolescent with low socioeconomic status are not well protected from their parents. Because they are always exposed to external stress, so they should always look around. Therefore, adolescents who have grown up in a low socioeconomic state will inevitably develop the ability to read others thoughts and feelings. But we do not know the exact reason. Therefore, in this study, we will analyze the literature using fMRI to reveal the reason. Adolescents with low socioeconomic status have amygdala and DMPFC activity on social threats. The more sensitive the amygdala is to the social threat, the higher the activity. And DMPFC regulates negative emotions by forming a functional link with the amygdala. DMPFC, however, is related to the ability to engage in mentalization and to read the other s mind and thoughts. Therefore, students who are raised in a low socioeconomic status are more sensitive to social threats and read their minds well because of active DMPFC to control negative emotions.
