A Study on the Formation of Sexual Attitude and It s Importance in Adolescence

The purpose o f this study is to reaserch the route o f sexual inform ation in adolescence and the influence on prem arital sexual concept & postm arital sexual life by form ed sexual attitude. The subjects o f this research w ere 1306 adults, middle class people living in Seoul, from June 1984 to August 1984. the results acquired by means o f the questionnaire method are follows; 1) As to the sex and route o f sexual inform ation; Both men and women (each 89.5% , 72.4% ) have been acquired sexual inform ation by inform al route, m ainly mass com., friends and special books. 2) As to the age and route o f sexual inform ation; The younger both men and women w ere, the more sexual inform ation have been acquired by form al route (eg. education o f parents or school). 3) As to the sexual attitude and sexual inform ation; Generally, sexual attitude was positive, but positive sexual attitude was m ore in inform al route group in both men and women. 4) As to the degree o f sexual expectance and sexual attitude ; The degree o f sexual expectance was low er in negative sexual attitude group than positive in both men and women. 5) As to the im portance o f sexual life and sexual attitude ; The num ber o f adult who say that the sexual life is not im portant w ere more in negative sexual attitude group than positive (especially in women). 6) As to the degree o f satisfaction and sexual attitude; Generally, those who are satisfied w ith the sexual life are many, but in women the degree o f dissatisfaction is higher in negative sexual attitude group than positive. 7) In men, those say that the sexual life is not difficu lt are many (69.9% ). In women, those who say that the sexual life is d ifficu lt are many (57.5% ). B ut in both men and women, those who say that the sexual adaptation is d ifficu lt are m ore in negative sexual attitude group than positive.
